Alteart is not a commercial site, but a gallery providing artists with an opportunity to show their work and to get to know one another.
Both in cases of trades and purchases (by artists, the public and institution), Alteart is expecting no commission fee and is exempt from any responsibility with regard to transactions.
Alteart urges artists to respect their country’s rules regarding their transactions, whether they are trades or sales.
Artists who show their work in the Alteart gallery may also be represented by other real or virtual galleries, as long as their presence in this gallery does not infringe on their existing contracts. Alteart will take no responsibility with regard to any existing or future exclusivity agreements signed by artists.
Artists may only exhibit their own work, and agree to produce authenticity certificates for all works upon demand.
The gallery committee reserves the right to refuse or withdraw works of art that do not reflect the gallery’s artistic direction, or works of artists who do not respect these ground rules.
After having traded or sold a piece shown in the gallery, artists are expected to notify info@alteart.com so that it may be deleted from the portfolio. Arrangements can also be made to replace the work of art.
For artists who do not have an email address, Alteart may be used as an intermediary for communications.
Alteart will protect personal information (street address and telephone numbers), unless artists specifically request that such information be provided instead of email addresses.
Artists are asked to allow up to 4 (four) weeks for the gallery to show their work.
Alteart appreciates gestures of goodwill, kind words and contributions in the form of art or even funds, to help keep this gallery on-line.
